We are glad to announce the release major update of Advanced WiFi-Manager,
a powerful solution for WiFi networks management in Windows 2000/20003/XP/Vista.
The main new feature of Advanced WiFi-Manager v2.0 is support of 802.1x authentication with RADIUS server when direct communication
with the WiFi adapter driver is used. 802.1x standard authenticates wireless LAN users trying to access enterprise networks.
Advanced WiFi-Manager v2.0 supports Extensible Authentication Protocol (EAP), it is a general protocol
that allows network access points to support multiple authentication methods.
There are many EAP types, each EAP type indicates a specific authentication mechanism.
The most popular EAP methods are supported by Advanced WiFi-Manager v2.0 and supported in Windows 2000/20003/XP/Vista:
- EAP-PEAP-MSCHAPv2
- EAP-TLS
- EAP-TTLS
More EAP methods will be added as well in v2.x versions.
